Terms of Use

1. Who may read

You must be at least 18 years old to use Open World Story Campaign. Continuing past the age question confirms that you meet that requirement. Access may be restricted where we have reason to believe it is not met.

2. What this site is

This is a free social entertainment website. The chapters are played purely for amusement. At no point is there a purchase, deposit, balance, prize, payout or item of value, and nothing recorded here has worth away from this website.

3. Your traveller name

Starting a campaign writes a name and a pass key into your own browser's local storage. Nothing is transmitted to us and no server holds it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently and it cannot be restored. Please do not reuse a pass key that protects something important.

4. Fair use

  • Do not disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the site or its chapters.
  • Do not automate interaction with any part of the site.
  • Do not republish the content commercially or present it as your own work.
  • Do not use the letter form for bulk, abusive or unlawful messages.

5. Ownership

Layout, written content, illustration and the emblem belong to the operator of Open World Story Campaign or are licensed for use here. Each chapter remains the property of its own developer and is provided for play inside this site only.

6. Availability

The site is provided as it stands and as available. Chapters may be added, altered or retired without notice, and uninterrupted access is not promised. Since nothing is purchased, no refund or compensation can arise from downtime.

7. Liability

So far as the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss connected with use of this site, including lost journal entries, lost names or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Third parties

Embedded chapters and web fonts come from third parties under their own terms. We choose them carefully but do not control their code.

9. Revisions

These terms may be updated. The review date above always reflects the current version, and continued use after an update is acceptance of it.
